Ascend The RuMa Hotel and Residences' iconic spiral staircase to arrive at ATAS — where the hotel's rich historical and cultural heritage unfolds through an epicurean journey. Named after the Malay word for "upstairs," ATAS carries a tongue-in-cheek nod to its other meaning: "upper-class."

By day, ATAS's spacious open-floor kitchen welcomes guests to gather over breakfast and lunch. By night, the same space transforms into a live show kitchen, setting the stage for an immersive dinner experience where the theatre of cooking becomes part of the meal itself.

Building on its commitment to distinctive dining experiences, ATAS is also home to ATAS Key Tables — The RuMa's signature dining series, bringing internationally recognised chefs and celebrated restaurant concepts to Kuala Lumpur through curated culinary collaborations.

ATAS × GU:UM

This August, ATAS Key Tables welcomes GU:UM, the acclaimed modern Korean steakhouse by MICHELIN-starred Chef Louis Han, for an exclusive residency at ATAS.

Inspired by the Korean word for "to grill, roast, or cook over fire," GU:UM brings charcoal, craftsmanship, and the warmth of home to the table. Through Chef Louis Han’s modern interpretation of Korean cuisine, the menu balances refined techniques with the warmth of familiar flavours.

Reflecting ATAS Key Tables’ vision of bringing celebrated culinary voices together, this collaboration explores the exchange between cultures and cuisines through fire, seasonality and thoughtful craftsmanship.

ATAS × The Chow Kit Kitchen & Bar

Continuing its celebration of Malaysian flavours, ATAS brings The Chow Kit Kitchen & Bar’s signature menu to a new setting, carrying the spirit of the iconic neighbourhood to the table. From à la carte favourites to The Towkay Table, a curated two-course set lunch inspired by the tradition of towkays gathering over food and conversation, the collaboration celebrates heritage, familiar flavours and the stories shared around the table.
